What Do I Look For?
✦ Clean cut model PSDs with many separated details. This includes all separated hair strands (all small flyaway strands of hair).
✦ Multiple hair layers for the middle section between front bangs / side bangs and back hair. This allows me to create a more 3D effect when the model's head turns. Click here to find a good explanation and visual of this and just an overall resource to give to your model artist. Credit to MikazukiBlue for the thread!
What Might I Reject?
✦ Models with highly complex animation requests. Please discuss with me what you're expecting!

Fate.
by GrimoireFaun
“Feel it. The way the ground shifts when the sky meets the earth at dusk and at dawn. Feel the weight of the gate to hell, its heavy doors swinging open, welcoming anyone who wishes to cross between worlds. The frisson.”The mountain quaked, birds flushed from the tall trees that caressed the sky. From here, on top of the world, they could see everything. Farms and small towns bursting at the seams. People. All of the precious things worth protecting.Rizari nodded, eyes trained on the horizon. “I feel it.” It lingered in the smell of ozone. An all encompassing knowledge that the time had come. She flexed her hands open, then closed again, the tips of her claws tickling her palm. The wind ruffled her short purple hair and the black of her clothes. Woven scarlet rope tied her hakama tight at her knees and elbows, red cloth wrapped around her forearms and calves. A white fur sash was the only accessory she wore, sewn into her shirt at the shoulder and hung from her back, the end fastened at her hip, the rich material charmed to stay clean even in the dirtiest of fights. A gift from her mother when her first hunt was decided.Touma smiled, his teeth shining in the golden hour, a message falcon resting on his shoulder. He unrolled the scroll tied to its talon.“Good. There’s something on its way to a village in the north, a fugitive mantis demon. Your mother alerted me to its path.” He turned toward his daughter and laid his hand on her shoulder, a reminder to center herself. Despite her age and the diminutive size of her still-growing horns, she was already as tall as his shoulders. Stronger than he was. Such was the nature of her demon heritage.Despite his humble height, Touma was a hunter of great prestige, a broad-shouldered master swordsman who bore countless scars of victory. A sheath hung at his hip. The dyed red leather at its hilt warned off possible challengers, easily spotted where it lay against the gray fabric he wore. He had crows feet and dark hair streaked with silver tied in a knot behind his head. A warrior through and through. The man deemed worthy to sire the guardian of the Stone Gate, gifted with immortality by the favor of all three realms. Protector of the Cradle.Rizari fought to contain her excitement. She bounced from foot to foot, ready to take off, eager to prove herself a worthy heir of his legacy. With a final shudder, the boundary between worlds hung open. Safe passage was afforded to those given sanction to travel. Less savory individuals had already crawled through–rogue demons to be exterminated. It was time.“What class?” Rizari asked. The right question.“Cirrus class.” An inappropriate level for a first hunt. Some would even consider it too challenging for a seasoned veteran. Cirrus class demons were tricky, named for the wispy nature of the clouds. Much of their corporeal body could be made intangible at will, near-impregnable exoskeletons hid the solid gold cores that tethered them to the living plane, the only way they could be destroyed. They’d killed their fair share of accredited bounty hunters.Rizari couldn’t wait.“Do you have your sword?”“Yes, father.”Touma looked down at her, eyes full of confidence and pride. “Are you ready?”Rizari trembled with excitement, the rush of blood thrummed beneath her skin. She was ready. Had been ready for months now. Her first hunt. Alone.“I’m ready,” she said.He released her.“Go. Be safe. Fight well.”Rizari was gone before he’d fully dismissed her. The wind carried her as she ran down the mountainside, feeding the fire that grew in her chest, ready to burn any who challenged her. She’d trained for this since her birth. Fourteen years of sword lessons taught by her father. Half-human, half-demon, the perfect balance of fire and earth, a daughter of both the Forge and the Cradle. Heir to the Keepers of the Stone Gate. And now she would be a full-fledged hunter.Well. Provided she survived the night. When she finally reached the base of the mountain, Rizari blazed a trail north, her sash fluttered behind her as she dashed through the undergrowth, the soil soft beneath her feet. The sun’s light faded as she ran. The air here was rich with oxygen and humidity. All common roadways were wet and cold from rain. They would do nothing but impede her as they did the spare travelers she saw along her way. Luckily, none of them had run into the cirrus demon. She continued on her path. The treetops had spared much of the forest floor, untread land covered in moss and lichen. The wildlife exploded into motion at the sight of her. Although the forests here were untouched, they still knew the danger of hunters.Signs of the demon’s presence appeared halfway toward the northernmost village–razed earth, whole saplings felled by something too impatient to move aside, the stench of sulfur. It was close. Her sheath laid against her back, its constant weight comforting as she swung herself up into the trees. She landed softly, a skill her father had drilled into her over and over again, second nature to her now. She crept upward. Rizari had learned from a young age that things such as these liked to attack from above. She would not give it the pleasure. It was silent, the locusts driven away by the presence of something so menacing, so unnatural. Rizari held still. There, to the east, the faintest noise of skittering legs sloshing through the mud. It was being careful now. The promise of prey was more than enough to grant it patience. The sound of creaking branches gave her pause. The last thing she wanted was for it to spot her first. She wasn’t so naive to think that she would come out of that unscathed.Rizari eased closer to the sound, losing and finding it again and again as bugs flew past her ears. She had never expected the hunt to require so much sitting still. The sun painted the skies a deep red. A warning that it would soon slip away. From the back of her mind, Rizari wondered if her father had gone to the Stone Gate to hold council with her mother. To tell her about Rizari’s task. She shook her head. Now was not the time to get distracted. Much sunlight had already been lost. She listened closely again, but all she could hear was the whine of wood and metal.A wagon trundled through the mushy ground. Its wheels groaned beneath the weight of the harvest it towed, the wretched sound of rust squealed as the farmer let out a frustrated noise. Rizari heard the sound of feet sucked into mud, the futile grunts of effort as the ox bayed in fear. It knew what was coming. It knew it was trapped. It cried out, louder as the farmer tried to calm it in his confusion.Prey. Vulnerable prey.Beneath it all, Rizari heard the slow slither of flesh against bark, the scrape of thin legs digging into wood. In the west. She turned, the tips of two curved claws poked out from beneath the leaves. A gust of wind swept across the countryside. She could see it now, the giant head with its eyes trained on the wriggling fly. Its mandibles flared open. The demon’s face, pale and human-like, emerged from its maw. Its eyes glowed a dim yellow in the fading sun. Two horns protruded from its forehead and two more sprouted from its jaw. The wide mouth pulled apart in an eager grin, sharp teeth glinted as its tongue rolled out to taste the air.Rizari launched from the trees. She swung down in one smooth motion as she flew past the demon’s face. Her blade struck true and rent the demon’s tongue in half. The demon shrieked, its legs skittering, the heavy abdomen slamming against the tree trunk as it shrank away from the tiny half-demon. Rizari descended on the wriggling muscle as it attempted to hide, squashing it into the sludge beneath her foot. She stood with her back to the rest of the road. The mantis loomed over her, even larger than she’d anticipated. Its squirming disrupted the treeline, blood dripped like ink on the grass. She could feel its gaze on her skin. The farmer screamed from somewhere behind her, finally aware of their presence. He had the good sense to free his ox before they both fled down the muddy path toward the village. Their tracks churned up the mud even more, the odor of fresh feces adding to the sulfur already in the air.Rizari wrinkled her nose in disgust, then pulled out a piece of flint she kept in her sleeve. Her father had given it to her when she began her training. With a smooth flick of her wrist, she struck it, the sparks dancing in the evening chill. The flicker caught on the fire magic collected in her hand. It ignited, the orange flames warm against her palm.Pyromagia burned inside all demons, ember remnants of the hellfire that forged them. It was the gift they were all given, and the only thing that could kill them. Not all demons could use it at will. As a hybrid, Rizari could not ignite the fire from within, she required a spark. The air was thick and humid, but as long as it was dry enough, this would do for now. She leaned down and grabbed the demon’s tongue in her hand. It disappeared in moments, the flesh smoking as it disintegrated and blew away in the wind. The demon screeched in anger. Its bloody mouth leaked as it heaved, the hot saliva sizzled as it pooled onto the branches below. The wings at its back began to stir.Still alive. Rizari cursed. The tongue was always a good bet with cirrus demons since it was almost always hidden away, shielded behind jagged rows of teeth, small enough to squirm away and hide if lost in the fight. Not good enough, she supposed.“Wretched nymph,” the demon slurred. Its mandibles snapped shut, the mantis head swiveling around its neck to get a better look at her. The voice echoed as it spoke again. “Hasn’t anyone told you that you’re a bit too young to be fighting your elders? A half-demon nymph sent to do the dirty work of terrified humans that are too afraid to tolerate the presence of greater beings among them.” Its voice was thin and reedy, grounded only by the wetness of its wounded mouth. “Too afraid to accept their true purpose as food and fodder.”“I don’t see any greater beings here,” Rizari spat. She spun the small fire in her hand, watching the demon from the corner of her eye. “Just a measly insect waiting to be sent back to hell.”The demon laughed, guttural, roiling like a hot pit of tar. “Bite your tongue. For though you have taken mine, you are still nothing more than a meal. I am Gizaougama. Know my name, for it will be the last thing you ever learn.” It retreated into the branches, swift despite its size. Gizaougama’s laugh lingered as it faded into the darkness. “Come find me, demonling. I am waiting for you.”It was then that Rizari realized what she’d allowed. Her shadow merged with the shady treeline as the last dredges of sunlight fled. Mantises were ambush predators, and although mantises were diurnal, demons were not. Leaves fluttered in the wind. Branches cracked. And the mantis waited, somewhere, anywhere in the trees.“Great job, Rizari. Give the cirrus demon the exact environment it needs. That’s a great move,” Rizari muttered to herself.Gizaougama hummed from where it hid. The darkness carried its words all around her, taunting. “I am waiting, little nymph.”Rizari steeled herself, gripped her sword, and ran into the forest.
The fire in her hand gave her some vision, but it was a beacon. She couldn’t risk being exposed like this. With a shake of her hand, the fire snuffed out. She crept through the undergrowth and listened.There. Rizari sprung forward. She released the tension in her body and swung, her attack aimed to slice through the length of Gizaougama’s body in a perfect arc. Her blade met mist. Wind whistled past her ear, leaves spinning around her like rain.Gizaougama scurried away, its body untouched as it solidified once more. With nothing to slow her, the momentum sent Rizari flying. She grabbed a branch and planted her feet on it in order to stabilize herself. The tree swayed beneath her weight, its slow bobbing threatened to make her sick. Even worse, it made it difficult to spot Gizaougama’s newest hiding place. It would not get the better of her again. Rizari crawled through the treetops, directionless. She listened for its footsteps before attacking again, this time trying to lop off its arms. Mist. Again, she was flung, this time in collision with a thick tree branch. Twigs scraped Rizari’s face as she crashed through. She cried out as it caught her in the stomach, her arms and legs scrambling to get her back in a defensive stance despite the pain that lanced through her.Gizaougama cackled as it watched her struggle. When its gaze met hers, the demon spat blood on the ground in declaration. That is all the blood you’ll get from me. Then, without hesitation, it disappeared into the night. This continued, a tireless game of cat and mouse as she chased ghosts through the wood. She could feel herself tiring with each attempted ambush. Keeping silent, crouching amongst tree limbs that threatened to betray her movements, all of it frustrated her.In the distance, she heard the hum of wings as Gizaougama flew up into the sky. But instead of fleeing, it simply flew overhead, pausing above her, just out of reach. The demon knew where she was. Always did.It was playing with her.But she would be faster. Stronger. Victorious.Rizari climbed higher just as she heard Gizaougama dip back into the foliage. From above she could see the whole of the wood. The sky was cloudy, a spare beam of moonlight slid over the canopy. Up here she could breathe, the breeze void of the acrid and cloying stench that had sunken into the fabric of her clothes. It was too quiet. If she remained up here, she could almost pretend that she wasn’t in mortal danger. Then, like the fin of a shark, she caught a glimpse of the demon’s antennae fluttering in the evening breeze. She moved quickly, unwilling to let her quarry escape. Rizari’s lungs ached as she jumped from one perch to the next before crashing through the topiary. With a mighty shout, she struck the hard exoskeleton of Gizaougama’s right claw.“It’s impossible to miss you when you make such a ruckus like that,” Gizaougama said. Its mandibles flickered open so that she could see its gleeful face before they snapped shut once more. “You have no finesse. None at all, little nymph.”Rizari opened her mouth to retort when the spines of Gizaougama’s other claw sank into her left shoulder. The blow crushed her breath from her chest and slammed her out of the air, breaking the wood beneath her feet. Her head throbbed as she collided with the forest floor. She gasped for oxygen, pushing herself up onto her hands and knees, her blade quivering against the mud in her trembling hand.Gizaougama laughed before it landed atop her. She could feel the heat of its smooth underbelly. Its feet skittered around her body, the clicking sound of mandibles peeling back rattled in Rizari’s ear as the mantis demon leaned in close.“I don’t need to be quiet to do my job,” Rizari said with a hiss.“You don’t need to be quiet when you die either. I will not squander your gift.”“Take your own advice.” Riza spun on her knees to cut out Gizaougama’s legs from beneath it. Nothing but mist.Gizaougama’s claws swooped down and caught her by the fur sash slung over her wounded shoulder. They lifted her, bringing her eye level with Gizaougama’s thin face. Rizari screamed in pain and frustration as she struggled to free herself. She refused to yield, but her katana bounced off of the demon’s exoskeleton, her strength waning. Gizaougama smiled. Blood still stained its maw red, eyes crazed.“You have much potential, little nymph. I will gratefully consume you and take your fire for my own,” it said.“One place left,” Rizari murmured to herself. “Just one.” If she was right, she could end this right now. Hellfire. She tried to reach for the flint in her sleeve only to find the fabric torn. Fear wracked through her, colder than the mud, more cruel than the pain. She couldn’t make the spark she needed.to be continued..
